The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of major currencies, extended downfall dropping to a three-month low of 96.11 ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting decision. Moreover, Powell is expected to provide clarifications on the error in the last jobs report, and when the Federal Reserve could start reducing the stimulus. The EURUSD rallied to $1.1369, the GBPUSD soared to $1.2778, and commodity-currencies inched higher.
